No Hands!
Adolescence is, if you’ll forgive the expression, when
the rubber meets the road. During these years, ages
13-18, she’s taking everything she’s learned from
riding with training wheels and on a tricycle and
applying it to becoming a better and better bicycle
rider. She’s seizing the initiative herself to put in
the long hours and do the hard work to first gain
competency — and then eventually mastery — with
the bike. And in doing so, she’s gaining confidence
that she can navigate around any obstacles that are
thrown at her, no matter the terrain.
